OUR CORE VALUES
We believe in dependence on God |
We will be people who fully rely on the power of God to accomplish the mission HE has given us. (Zech. 4:6; Jn. 15; Isa. 41:13; Prov. 21:31)
We believe in the value of all people |
Because lost people matter to God, they will matter to us as well. We will be people who use creative and heroic efforts to introduce as many people as we can to new life in Christ. Responsible evangelism will always be our cause and ongoing discipleship will always be the core of the ministry. (Mt. 18:14; Mt. 25:24; Lk. 5:30-32; Lk. 15; Pt. 3:9)
We believe in being culturally relevant |
A simple presentation of Jesus Christ in creative ways will impact and transform lives. Relating to our culture through redeeming the arts while remaining true to the Scriptures is a balance we will always strive to keep. This allows us to present the gospel in such a way that reaches the heart. (1 Cor. 9:19-23; 1 Chr. 12:32)
We believe in authenticity |
We will be people who are not satisfied by outward conformity to standards, but will strive for real, internal life change and will seek to live the life we are asking others to live. (Eph. 4:15; Eph. 4:25; Jms. 5:16)
We believe in being purpose driven |
We will stay true to the vision God has given us in our goals, strategies and decisions. (Acts 20:19; Heb. 13:7, 17; 2 Tim. 4:7)
We believe in "doing church as a team" |
We will be people who value each person's gifting and attitude of service to the accomplishment of the mission God has given us. The right people in the right places for the right reasons is God's design for effective ministry. We believe that God has given every member a gift to be discovered, developed and deployed. (Eccl. 4:9-12; Ps. 133:1; Eph. 4:11-16; Rom. 12; 1 Cor. 12:14-20; 1 Pt. 4:10-11)
We believe in relationships |
We recognize that God created us for relationships. Loving relationships should permeate every aspect of church life. We believe that life change happens best through relationships. Therefore, we will commit ourselves to building deep bonds between God and each other. (Gen. 1:26-27; Lk. 10:1; 1 Cor. 13; Neh. 3; Gal. 6:2-5)
We believe in excellence |
